Intercultural wellbeing support
KeepingWell NCL staff wellbeing Hub is working with Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy Centre to make culturally sensitive wellbeing support available to all staff working in health and social care in North Central London.
Intercultural therapy particularly supports people finding it hard to access help because of barriers such as culture or language, or with experiences of discrimination. Nafsiyat provides short-term, intercultural therapy in over 20 languages. Intercultural therapy particularly supports people finding it hard to access help because of barriers such as culture or language, or with experiences of discrimination.

Facilitated by Nafsiyat therapists, these sessions are designed to provide a safe, confidential space for racially minoritised staff to process and reflect on difficult work situations, organisational issues, and the feelings they evoke.
Half-day, online workshops supporting staff to promote intercultural awareness in health and social care organisation:
- Develop participants’ self-awareness and awareness of experiences of institutional racism and oppression
- Enhance empathetic intercultural communication
- Implementing intercultural awareness day-to-day in health and care settings.
