Staff Support during National Mourning

Our services

During the national mourning period, every NHS organisation will follow the mourning guidance set out by the Cabinet Office. This means that the KeepingWell NCL Hub will be pausing most of our events and newsletters for the duration of the period in line with the mourning guidance. We will therefore keep our website updated and contact individual attendees regarding any changes to events.

The rest of our services will continue as normal. The Hub is open and still accepting messages, referrals, and requests for support.

We will continue to update you with any essential information regarding our services.

Our support for staff

Many people may experience grief and other complex responses around Queen Elizabeth II’s death and legacy, and wonder how to manage the variety of reactions and feelings this period may evoke. The national mourning period, media, and events may therefore be an emotional time for staff.

Throughout this period, we are here to support you or your team. You can contact us via our health chat or email our team at keepingwell.ncl@nhs.net, and a practitioner will arrange a time to talk about how we can support you.

The NHS website also provides helpful advice about managing symptoms of grief and bereavement, which you can access here.
