Trauma can be any distressing or threatening event or series of events that overwhelms a person’s ability to cope. You may have experienced it directly or witnessed or heard about it happening to someone else. It can affect us in a variety of different ways, including (but not limited to) nightmares or disturbed sleep, flashbacks, dissociation, feelings of panic or anxiety and avoiding certain things. The resources below can help you manage and cope with some of these feelings and thoughts.
